FAQ
Do I need a referral to see you?
It depends on your funding. For Medicare, yes — your GP needs to set up a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan and refer you. DVA clients also need a referral from their GP or specialist. For NDIS, private health, or if you're paying privately, no referral is needed — you can book directly.Where are you located?
I'm a mobile service and come to you across all regions of the Gold Coast, QLD and into Southern Brisbane. If you're not sure whether you're in my area, just get in touch and ask. What's an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, and how is it different from a personal trainer or physio?
An Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) is a university-qualified allied health professional registered with ESSA, trained to use exercise to prevent and manage injury and chronic conditions. Unlike a personal trainer, AEPs can treat complex health conditions and their services are claimable through Medicare, DVA, NDIS and private health. How does NDIS funding work for my sessions?
If you're self-managed or plan-managed, you can use your NDIS funding for exercise physiology directly — just reach out and we'll sort out the paperwork together. What happens in the first session?
We'll start with a relaxed chat about your health, history and goals, do a few simple movement and fitness checks, and then map out a personalised plan. There's no pressure and no judgement — just a starting point that suits you.My child has autism/ADHD — what does an outdoor adventure session actually involve?
Sessions are active, fun and led by your child's interests — think hiking, bike riding and bush exploration rather than a gym. The goal is to build coordination, confidence and social skills while they're having a great time outdoors. Everything moves at their pace. What should I wear or bring?
Comfortable clothes you can move in and closed-in shoes. For outdoor sessions, bring water, a hat and sunscreen. I'll bring any equipment we need. How do I get started?
